Den letzen Artikel recycle ich doch gleich mal für das hier:

Social networking sites like Facebook could be monitored by the UK government under proposals to make them keep details of users’ contacts. The Home Office said it was needed to tackle crime gangs and terrorists who might use the sites, but said it would not keep the content of conversations. Tens of millions of people use sites like Facebook, Bebo and MySpace to chat with friends, but ministers say they have no interest in the content of discussions - just who people have been talking to.

“It is Google’s responsibility to ensure all vehicle registration marks and faces are satisfactorily blurred. Individuals who feel that an image does identify them (and are unhappy with this) should contact Google direct to get the image removed. Individuals who have raised concerns with Google about their image being included - and who do not think they have received a satisfactory response - can complain to the ICO.”

Der untere Artikel stammt auch aus dem UK. Natürlich sollte auch Google kräftig auf die Finger geschaut werden, aber gegen Zufallsfotos Sturm zu laufen, während die Regierung nach und nach jede Form der Privatsphäre knackt, ohne eine Möglichkeit der Kontrolle anzubieten, ist doch etwas absurd. Nun kann der Inselbewohner also nicht mehr ertappt werden, wenn er seinen St. Paddys Day-Rausch ausschläft, dafür wird gespeichert, wen er wann auf Facebook anschreibt. Und was letzten Endes in der großen Database gespeichert wird, würde ich keiner so paranoiden Regierung anvertrauen.
